How to Write Accurate Packaging Copy for Magnetic Building Toys

October 12, 2026 · 8 min read

Write packaging copy from a SKU-level evidence matrix. Confirm the product form, counted contents, version, images, age information, warnings and market-specific statements before artwork approval. If a claim has no owner and source, keep it off the pack until verified.

Begin with product identity, not a headline

Decide whether the product is a flat magnetic tile set, a pixel magnetic cube set, a marble-run system or another construction format. Use the exact SKU and version. Generic wording such as “magnetic blocks” can create confusion when the catalog contains several structures.

Write the front panel for identification

Use a clear product name, exact model or variant, confirmed piece count and an image of that version. Keep sales language subordinate to identity. Avoid unverified words such as “safest,” “best seller,” “non-toxic,” “educationally proven” or “certified” unless the precise statement, scope and evidence have been approved.

Write the back panel for verification

List what is included using consistent component groups. Add instructions or a reference to them, age information, warnings, responsible-party details and traceability fields as applicable. Destination requirements vary, so this is an artwork workflow—not a universal label template.

For MagBlockPro, packaging, instructions and storage bags can be discussed as customization routes. Their MOQ, cost and schedule depend on the selected solution; the regular-order 3–7 day preparation statement must not be copied onto custom-packaging artwork as a general promise.

Keep images and words on the same version

A pack can become inaccurate even when every sentence sounds plausible. Common causes are reusing a hero image from another piece count, leaving an accessory in the scene after it is removed from the packing list, or updating a warning panel without updating the online listing. Use one approval file that ties SKU, artwork revision, sample, contents and listing assets together.

Run a three-pass proof

  1. Fact pass: compare every number, noun and claim with its source.
  2. Visual pass: compare hero image, component images, colors and theme with the approved sample.
  3. Market pass: check language, age information, warnings, responsible-party details and document scope for the destination.

FAQ

Can a catalog description be copied directly onto packaging?

No. Packaging copy should be checked against the exact SKU, approved sample, final contents, target market and current evidence.

Should every build shown on the box be described as included?

No. Separate construction examples from the counted contents, and make clear when an image is illustrative.

Can one market's warning panel be reused everywhere?

Do not assume so. Confirm age grading, warnings, language and responsible-party information for the destination market and exact model.

Use the custom development route for project planning and the private-label approval guide for cost and timing inputs. Send a SKU and target market to MagBlockPro before artwork starts.
