A useful magnetic toy QC report identifies the exact production lot and what was actually inspected. It separates observable defects and pack checks from claims that require model-specific laboratory evidence.
Identify the inspection object
Start with supplier, purchase order, SKU, product version, lot or batch, market destination, inspection date and inspected location. Attach the approved sample and packaging version used as references. Without these fields a clean-looking report may refer to the wrong goods.
Show how the sample was selected
Record the shipment quantity, cartons available, cartons opened, units checked and sampling method. State whether the report covers a pre-production sample, during-production goods or a finished shipment. Do not imply that a small sample proves every unit is defect free.
Separate checks and evidence
List visual condition, component count, connection consistency, packaging, artwork, instructions and carton marks as observed checks where relevant. Record the method, result and photo for each issue. Treat magnet retention or other regulated performance conclusions as separate model- and market-specific evidence, not a visual inspector certification.
Turn findings into a release decision
Classify each finding by severity, affected SKU and quantity. Log containment, rework, re-inspection and approver. Keep open issues visible instead of converting an incomplete report into a pass label. Link each decision to the exact goods that will ship.
Working sheet
| Report field | Minimum entry | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Identity | SKU, version, PO, lot | Prevents wrong-model approval |
| Sample | Units, cartons, method | Defines observation scope |
| Finding | Location, photo, count | Supports investigation |
| Disposition | Owner, action, recheck | Makes release traceable |
PO [ ] · SKU/version [ ] · lot [ ] · inspected quantity [ ] · finding/photo [ ] · disposition [ ] · recheck owner [ ].
Pair this checklist with the approved sample comparison, then send the SKU and report fields that need confirmation.
FAQ
Can a QC report replace a laboratory test report?
No. Inspection observations and applicable laboratory testing answer different questions.
Should a buyer accept a report without lot identity?
Request a corrected report tied to the shipment before using it as release evidence.
