Compare magnetic tile sets only after putting every candidate into the same field structure: product form, counted contents, package, evidence, order unit and channel job. A larger number on the front of a box is not a comparable specification by itself.
Start with a normalized specification sheet
Copy each candidate into one row and keep the field names identical. Record the exact model ID, visible product name, flat-tile or block form, stated piece count, component classes, image reference and package format. If a value is missing, write “to confirm” instead of filling it with an assumption.
| Field | What to record | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Product form | Flat magnetic tiles, magnetic blocks or another structure | Prevents false like-for-like comparisons |
| Count | Stated pieces plus how the supplier counts components | Avoids comparing a headline number with a different counting rule |
| Contents | Shapes, figures, windows, accessories and instructions | Shows what the shopper can actually use |
| Pack | Retail package, inner quantity and carton fields when confirmed | Connects the product to shelf and freight decisions |
| Evidence | Model-matched sample, images, documents and open questions | Separates proof from catalogue language |
Three flat-tile references, kept model-specific
The following current records illustrate how to keep a comparison grounded. They are separate SKUs, not a prepacked bundle. Confirm the latest sample, pack and order fields before listing or quoting. Product titles and pictured counts identify the references; no current age, material, magnet size or carton specification is asserted here.

42PCS Castle Magnetic Blocks Set
MBP-013 · A castle-themed reference with a stated 42-piece count.

46PCS Farm Magnetic Tiles Set

48PCS Fire Station Magnetic Tiles Set
MBP-017 · A fire-station-themed reference with a stated 48-piece count.
View productReconcile the counting denominator
Ask whether a stated piece count includes non-magnetic figures, fences, stickers or accessories. The current Farm and Fire Station reference images include different component classes; do not treat all stated pieces as identical magnetic building units. Do not calculate price per magnetic tile until the magnetic-piece subtotal is confirmed separately.
Record dimensions in one unit and keep retail-pack dimensions separate from master-carton dimensions. Product photos sometimes contain size labels; use them as a question for confirmation, not as a freight booking record. Mark not applicable, unknown and confirmed as different states so blanks do not disappear during quote comparison.
Compare the buyer job before comparing the number
A 42-piece castle, a 46-piece farm set and a 48-piece fire-station set may each serve a different shelf story. Ask whether the customer is buying open construction, a narrative theme, a giftable scene or a classroom activity. The comparison conclusion should name the role each SKU can test, not declare one universal winner.
Mark evidence and gaps in separate columns
- Copy the exact model ID and visible title.
- Attach the matching image and sample reference.
- Count or confirm the contents by component class.
- Record packaging, inner quantity, carton and timing only when supplied for that model.
- List unresolved fields and assign an owner before release.

FAQ
Is a higher piece count automatically a better set?
No. Piece count is only one field. Compare the product form, useful component mix, packaging, channel role and evidence for the exact SKU.
Can I compare a magnetic tile set with a magnetic cube set in one table?
Only if the table clearly separates product form and buyer task. Do not treat flat tiles and pixel cubes as interchangeable units.
What should remain open until the supplier confirms it?
Keep materials, carton data, MOQ, preparation time, age wording and document coverage open when they are not confirmed for the selected model.
Use the SKU product-information checklist to prepare a release packet, then send the normalized table with your RFQ.
