Check color and printing consistency against one approved reference under repeatable conditions, then record exceptions by SKU, carton and surface. A visual match is a release input, not a substitute for product or document checks.
Freeze the reference set
Keep the approved product image, packaging artwork version, SKU name and sample date together. Mark which surfaces are printed, plain, translucent or mixed.
Inspect a repeatable sample
Compare the same color areas and printed words in the same light, and photograph differences with SKU and carton identifier visible.
Separate variation from a release issue
Do not invent a tolerance that has not been agreed. Classify findings as match, review required or stop-and-confirm.

FAQ
Is a color difference automatically a defect?
Not necessarily. Compare it with the approved reference and review rule.
Can one photo prove every carton is consistent?
No. Sampling and carton traceability determine what one photo represents.
